This support program unique to Tokyo is available for any student enrolled in Tokyo municipal high schools and Tokyo municipal junior high schools, offering them the opportunity to study abroad for a year in an English speaking country after learning a variety of things at advance training held in Japan.

Invitation to “The Program for the Development of Next-Generation Leaders” for the youth leading the charge into the next generation
As globalization spreads in more and more fields, such as finance, academics and culture, the demand is growing for people who have the ability to communicate globally and to create a new sense of values based on a flexible mindset, and who can make the most of those abilities throughout their lives.

“The Program for the Development of Next-Generation Leaders” offered by the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education is a support program offered to Tokyo municipal high school students that allows them the opportunity to study abroad for a year after learning a variety of things at advance training held in Japan. The goal of this program is to produce a great number of young people from Tokyo who can be active on the world stage with vigor and rich international sensibilities.

We hope that high school students with a strong desire to become next generation human resources that will be active in a variety of fields and organizations in the future and that will shoulder the future of the world and Japan will apply and that they will develop greatly through study abroad.
