First, Kitazono High School started their relationship with an Australian school 14 years ago.

Every August, some Kitazono High School students go to Australia and have lessons at their sister school as a part of the English training. They homestay at their sister school student’s homes and learn not only English but also foreign culture by experiencing it themselves.

After the English training, they continue exchanging letters and E-mails with each other.

Secondly, Kitazono High School started their relationship with two German high schools. One is from 2010, and the other is from 2013.

Kitazono High School students go to sister schools every other year to have an international exchange program in Germany and continue exchanging letters and E-mails with each other after they return.

It has become a valuable opportunity to interact with students of other countries by using a foreign language and students have deepened their knowledge and understanding about the traditional culture of Japan, as well as the attitude to try to talk about Japanese culture to people from other countries.
