To enrich initiatives related to global human resource development in Tokyo with a basis in the Tokyo Global Human Resources Development Guidelines, 20 schools were selected to promote advanced initiatives, designated as the “Global Education Network 20” from 2022 and divided into three groups that make the most of each school’s characteristics.

- Assignment of multiple JET youths
- Online English conversation training for students
- Assistance for taking of external certification examinations by students
- Student research and presentations on the resolution of both domestic and foreign issues such as the SDGs
- Promotion of international exchange with schools overseas and foreign language training overseas
- Support for advancement into universities abroad
