Tokyo Metropolitan Global Education Network School Premier 20(GE-NET 20)
To enrich initiatives related to global human resource development in Tokyo with a basis in the Tokyo Global Human Resources Development Guidelines, 20 schools were selected to promote advanced initiatives, designated as the “Tokyo Metropolitan Global Education Network School Premier 20” (hereinafter, “GE-NET 20”) from 2025 and divided into three groups that make the most of each school’s characteristics.
Schools specified as GE-NET 20 engage in a variety of initiatives, such as the holding of online English conversation sessions for students during classes, providing support for students taking external certification examinations, having students research on the resolution of both domestic and foreign issues towards the creation of a sustainable society and publish the results of said research, promoting continual international exchange with overseas schools and offering language study programs, and working on exchange activities via collaborating with external institutions such as embassies and universities.

Tokyo Metropolitan Global Education Network School for English Education(GE-NET EE)
In 2025, the “Tokyo Metropolitan Global Education Network School for English Education” (hereinafter, “GE-NET EE”) designation was given to 30 schools promoting English education to improve the English communication ability of students and support is being provided for the enrichment of their education environments, etc.
GE-NET EE schools are engaging in a fostering of attitudes towards proactive communication using foreign language through online English conversation sessions for students held during classes and in the improvement of classes based on student’s English ability through external certification examinations.
