The English Speaking Achievement test for Junior High School Students

The Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education runs an integrated and consistent English education program from elementary school to junior high and high school in order to enable students to further improve the English communication skills they obtained at elementary and junior high school after entering high school.
From 2022, the English Speaking Achievement test has been held for students in their third year at public junior high schools in Tokyo.

About the English Speaking Achievement test for Junior High School Students

Aims

  • To give students practical English abilities through an integrated English education program from elementary to junior high and high school.
  • To objectively evaluate the speaking ability that students have equipped themselves with through learning in junior high school and to enrich and smoothly link English tuition in junior high and high schools.
